We stumbled out of our door, with a vague idea of what we wanted to do on our first full day of Paris.
We want to the bistro/cafe we had visited when we first arrived and order expresso/cafe creme and croissants...to the tune of 7,8€ per person (about 11$US).
When our much needed caffeine arrived, so did our croissants...with friends. The 'friends' consisted of butter (like the croissants needed more; more good croissants contain a stick of butter per pastry already), a pot of Nutella (chocolate hazelnut spread), strawberry jam and peach preserves.
OMG! I can not put into words what each of these 'friends' tasted like with the croissant except to say, I could really get used to this kind of breakfast. Unfortunately, my wallet could not. We were starting to think we needed to find a more budget friendly place to have breakfast.
